Why tax just those users of electric & gas? Why not tax those that have solar? Seems very unfair!
Why just tax the landline telephone users? More & more people are relying just on their cell phone, so why not tax those cell phone users too? Seems unfair!
Why just tax the cable TV users? Why not tax the satellite & Wi-Fi users too? Seems very unfair to me!
The UTT proposal is coming across as very unfair & targeting the older generation that use the standard utilities which your tax proposal is targeting!

Do you have any ideas or comments about the information and recommendations in these slides?
I support a reallocation of property tax revenue. I came from a town in Northern California with a population of approximately 18,000 residents. That town had 2 fire stations within the city limits and another one about 1/8 of a mile beyond the border. That town did not have a parcel tax or a UUT for their fire district. That town allocated their property tax revenue to fund the fire stations. No extra taxes!

Stop these sham surveys and spend the money where it's needed - our fire services. Re-allocate the high property taxes we already pay. Then look at other staffing and service models for stations that are more economical, more efficient, and more sensible.

I am against any new taxes - and I represent a lot of taxpayers out here. The high property taxes we already pay should provide funding first and foremost, for the safety of the public. Reallocate the taxes we ALREADY pay.

Sad situation we are in. Ten min response time is unacceptable especially if you're the one having a life or death emergency. Housing has risen so allocations to our fire dept should go up accordingly. Take a look at Santa Clara County and see how they help cover each other. I don't like the idea of new assessments or taxes added to my parcel or whatever. The funds for our fire and sheriff need to be kept out of the general fund. This is not an easy task. People will not vote for more taxes. My two cents. Thanks for asking!
